Arlington Heights police responded about 3:22 p.m. Monday to a report of a possible scam/home invasion that just occurred in the 1900 block of East Lillian Avenue. Police received a report that two male/Hispanic subjects tried to push their way into a house after trying to get the residents out of the house. The subject said they were doing some type of a land survey. The subject fled in a gray van eastbound on Lillian Avenue. While the residents were talking to at least one subject about the land survey, two other suspects entered the house and made it upstairs.

Area police departments were notified of the incident. Wheeling replied that they were investigating a similar incident in Wheeling.
