Arlington Heights police responded about 5:02 a.m. Tuesday to a report of two suspicious subjects near the intersection of Bristol Lane and Lynden Lane. Police received a report that two kids on bikes were possibly checking cars parked outside. One subject would stay on the street while another subject was traveling up driveways while they were traveling southbound.

Police arrived within three minutes and reported that at least one subject bailed on him as the police officer attempted to make contact with him. Police recovered a bike, apparently from one of the subjects, and vehicle burglary proceeds.

Several police units responded to the neighborhood. About 5:17 a.m. a subject ran from the police near the intersection of Belmont Avenue and George Street. The subject ran northbound along Belmont Avenue through yards. Police searched on foot with flashlights, but the subjects were not seen again.
