Family Awakens to Find Stranger Sleeping on the Couch on Maple St, Palatine

Palatine police responded about 7:12 a.m. Friday to a report of a burglary or suspicious incident in the 100 block of South Maple Street. Police received a report that family members woke up to find a strange man sleeping on the couch. The man walked out of the house when he was discovered. He was last seen walking southbound on Maple Street about 7:08 a.m. to 7:10 a.m. Friday.

The man was described as a male/white in his 30’s, wearing a gray, brown or tan T-shirt with writing on the shirt. He was also wearing jeans. The offender also had tattoos on both arms.

Several Palatine police units responded immediately. No word of any police contact with the offender.
