Haz Mat Response for Diesel Spill on Algonquin Rd Near Barker Dr, East of Rt. 53

Rolling Meadows police and firefighters responded about 6:50 a.m. Friday to a Haz Mat incident at Algonquin Road and Barker Avenue. Firefighters received a report that about 150 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled and flowed, or was trailed by a moving truck, about 150 feet toward Magnolia Drive. The spill is reported to be contained. Firefighters are working on directing a cleanup.

Expect some traffic trouble for the morning rush. There is also road construction in the area.
