Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:25 a.m. Friday to a call from a pay phone at the Marathon gas station 4200 Kirchoff Road that a man had been stabbed. Police arrived first and found no sign of the victim or any blood near the pay phone.

Firefighter/paramedics found the ‘victim’ just north of Kirchoff Road along Hicks Road and north of the Marathon gas station about 10 minutes later. Paramedics found the man apparently intoxicated, but without any stab injuries. He was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
