Burglars Break Glass to Enter At Least 2 Homes: On Whiting and On Nichols

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:02 p.m. Thursday of a residential burglary in the 800 block of West Whiting, just south of Lake Terramere. Police received a report that a window and the glass to a sliding patio door were smashed.

The crime was reported to have occurred “in the past 30 minutes”. The owner returned home to find the damage, and did not go through the house before police arrived. Police checked the house and immediately call for an evidence technician to the scene.

While police were at the Whiting address, they got a call about 3:22 p.m. Wednesday reporting a residential burglary in the 1300 block of Nichols Road. A glass window was also broken at the address, and residents had not yet been through the house before police arrived.

A board-up service was called to secure the openings of the broken glass.

Arlington Heights police are investigating.
