Northbrook police and firefighter/paramedics responded just after 1:30 a.m. Thursday to crash with entrapment on Sanders Road near Bordeaux Court. Firefighters confirmed they were working an extrication rescue for a crash involving three vehicles. It’s possible that the third vehicle reported at the scene may have been an uninvolved vehicle
Later Thursday police released the identify of a victim that was killed in the crash as 58-year-old Zofia E. Stryzalkowski, of Mount Prospect. A second vehicle involved three people in their 20’s from Buffalo Grove. Two people were transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, and a third refused medical treatment.
Northbrook police are investigating the case with the assistance of the Major Crash Assistance Team and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office.
