Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:10 p.m. Thursday of a purse snatching from the front of Palm Court Restaurant, at northwest corner of Arlington Heights Road and Palatine Road. Police received a report of a theft of a purse from an elderly woman’s hands by a male teenager — possibly Hispanic or dark complected. He was also described as having dark hair and shorter stature, wearing a Navy blue T-shirt with writing on the T-shirt. The suspect would be in possession of a black purse with twin zippers.

The suspect fled around the building and was last seen possibly running northbound on Evergreen Avenue.

Police were searching the area of Palm Court immediately after the crime. Several units were already at Hillside Towing across the street.
