Report of Retail Theft That Just Occurred at Meijer, Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows police alerted Arlington Heights police of a retail theft that occurred about 6:15 p.m. Monday at the Meijer store. Police received a report that a man took a pair of binoculars and a knife without paying. The offender was described as a male/Hispanic teen with long hair, wearing a black shirt and jeans. The offender was chased by security personnel and the knife was dropped and then retrieved by security. A second male/Hispanic may have been with the offender.

Both were last seen westbound on Golf Road on the south side of Golf Road. They may have had bikes in the area of Walmart.

Rolling Meadows police had two juveniles in custody on the case at about 7:00 p.m. Monday.
