Another Burglary with Guns Reported Stolen; North Belmont Avenue

Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:05 p.m. Tuesday of a theft of handguns from a garage in the 1100 block of North Belmont Avenue. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders entered the garage, opened a locked file cabinet (no signs of force observed) and removed three handguns and ammunition. Reported stolen was a 9mm Beretta Model 92SB, a Colt 357 Trooper, a Smith & Wesson Sigma 40cal., and 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Also reported missing were Patty Berg golf clubs and a golf bag.

The crime is reported to have occurred between April 1st, 2011 at Tuesday, August 9th, 2011 at 1:02pm.


On Wednesday July 20, 2011 police received a report taht five handguns were reported stolen from a home in the 1800 block of North Windsor. The offenders were possibly interrupted in the middle of the crime because rifles that belonged in an upstairs room were found in the yard when the resident arrived home.
