Police Activity Higgins Rd Near Route 53/Busse Woods: Drug Suspect in Custody

Schaumburg police called for assistance from Elk Grove Village police K-9 unit about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday. Police on an undercover narcotics operation were pursuing a suspect into the Busse Wood Forest Preserve southeast of Route 53 and Higgins Road. The operation also included the area of Woodfield Road and East Frontage.

Police were pursing a male/black suspect wearing a white hat and white shirt. Police had the suspect wanted for possession of narcotics in custody by 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.

  1. Its good to see the police are going after drug selling in the forest preserves. I pulled into Busse Woods in the 1970’s because my car was overheating. Immediately I was approached by multiple men trying to sell dope. Scary….
