Kitchen Fire at Evergreen Court Apartments on South Goebbert Rd, Immediately Extinguished by Firefighters

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:25 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment fire in the 2200 block of South Goebbert Road at the Evergreen Court Apartments. Firefighters on the first engine on the scene reported the apartment evacuated with smoke showing. Firefighters brought in a hand line and discovered a fire in the kitchen, which was immediately extinguished.

Firefighters reported the fire was out by 7:35 p.m. Firefighters thoroughly searched the apartment and nearby apartments — no victims reported.


Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights firefighters assisted Arlington Heights, and were immediately released.

A fire investigator was called to the scene.
