At Least 5 in Custody After Suspicious Incident at Vacant House on Wheeling Rd Near Euclid

Mount Prospect police responded about about 2:00 a.m. Friday to a report of people in a house that was known to be vacant on Wheeling Road near Euclid Avenue. Mount Prospect police arrived and reported sound and movement inside the house with an open door.

Mount Prospect called in a K-9 unit from Arlington Heights. Mount Prospect police surrounded the house and joined the Arlington Heights K-9 unit going inside the front door just before 3:00 a.m. Friday.

About 3:00 a.m. Mount Prospect police had at least five people in custody, including one male adult and two juvenile females. All were transported in custody to Mount Prospect Police Department Headquarters.
