Armed Robbery at Pot Belly, Golf & Algonquin; Employees Locked in Cooler

Rolling Meadows police and Arlington Heights police responded about 9:50 p.m. Sunday to a report of an armed robbery at the Pot Belly, 1402 Golf Road, Rolling Meadows. The crime was reported to have occurred in the last 20 minutes, which puts it at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Potbelly Sandwich Shop is open until 9:00 p.m. on Sundays according to their web site. Police received a report that the offender was armed with a knife and locked employees in a cooler.

The offender was described as a male/black, 5’11” thin build with a deep sounding voice, wearing a ski mask, and wearing all black clothing — jeans and a long sleeve shirt and gloves.
