Baseball Bat Battery: Altin Bajrami Charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon Outside Raven Club, Schaumburg

Altin Bajrami, of the 1900 block of Prairie Square, was was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and aggravated-battery-with-a-deadly-weapon following a fight just before 1 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Raven Night Club, 614 East Golf Road. Bajrami was transported in custody to Schaumburg Police Department headquarters.

Bajrami, 28, was arguing with other men inside the club. The argument escalated and headed outside the Raven Night Club. Bajrami allegedly pulled out a baseball bat from the trunk of his car and hit one of the men, causing serious personal injury. The man was transported to a local hospital by Schaumburg Fire Department firefighter/paramedics.


If convicted, Altin Bajrami could face a sentence of two to five years in prison. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 5.

A Cook County judge set bail for Altin Bajrami at $200,000 Monday.

Raven Nightclub is a full-featured, illuminated dance club with a dance floor on the first level and balconies on the second level. There are three bars downstairs and three bars upstairs, where there is also a VIP room. DJs and live acts feature dance music and house music.

The club opened December 31, 2010 — replacing Heat Nightclub.
