Bank of America’s online banking system was down Tuesday afternoon. A message stated that online banking was not available for Illinois customers. Customers in other state were also affected. A similar problem ‘IT’ problem occurred in January 2011.
Tuesday’s service disruptions were the result of a routine update performed on the system over the weekend, which apparently went awry.
