It’s Official: Lee DeWyze Will Perform at Bears-Packers Halftime

The NFL said yesterday that Jim Cornelison, who sings a strong national anthem at Chicago Blackhawks games, will sing the Star Spangled Banner at Sunday’s Bears-Packers game (Kick-off 2 PM CT January 23, 2011).


Lee DeWyze – Live It Up from his post-idol debut album, Live It Up. DeWyze’s major label debut Live It Up was released this past November and his current hit single “Sweet Serendipity” is climbing up the radio charts.

Today, the Chicago Bears announced Lee DeWyze will perform at halftime for the Bears-Packer game hosted by the Chicago Bears.

Last Sunday, Cornelison sang the national anthem in the divisional playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks, with his traditional enthusiastic roaring from the crowd.

Since Fox televises the “American Idol” competition an the upcoming NFC playoff championship, we’ll see if there’ a connection.
