Shoplifters Get Away from Buffalo Grove Dominick’s, But Are Captured at Palatine Dominick’s

Buffalo Grove police responded about 2:50 PM Tuesday to a report of suspicious activity — possibly retail theft in progress at Dominick’s, 1160 West Lake Cook Road. Police received a report that a male and a female were moving a shopping cart full of expensive liquor near the front of the store, just inside the door. The male and female left the store — leaving the shopping cart near the door.

Later police learned that the subjects did remove several hundred dollars worth of liquor bottles out of the store.

While Buffalo Grove police were investigating the Dominick’s case and viewing security video, Palatine police received a report of four subjects at the Dominick’s at 615 East Dundee Road that were gathering expensive liquor bottles. At least two of the subjects matched descriptions of the subjects at the Buffalo Grove Dominick’s. Buffalo Grove police traveled to Palatine apparently to pick up the suspects from Palatine — not confirmed.
