A man, described as 30 to 40 years old, 5 foot 6 inches tall and about 150 pounds, wearing a green or tan baseball hat threatened and attacked a woman with a handgun about 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Walgreens at 1000 N. Roselle Road in Hoffman Estates.
During a struggle with the robber, the victim was pushed to the ground and stripped of her purse. The robber fled in a dark SUV with a white spare tire westbound on Higgins Road. The victim was not injured.
The purse contained an undisclosed amount of cash. Hoffman Estates Police are asking anyone with information to call the Hoffman Estates Police Department at (847) 882-1818.
