Buffalo Grove responded about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to a house fire in the 600 block of Buckthorn Terrace. Police were on the scene first and reported fire showing out the back of the house.
Firefighters on the scene reported fire showing on the second floor.
Arlington Heights, Barrington, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Long Grove, Palatine Rural, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, Wauconda, Departments assisted Buffalo Grove Fire Department either at the scene or for station coverage of the rest of Buffalo Grove.
One firefighter from Buffalo Grove injured his back. He transported to Northwest Community Hospital about 7:15 p.m.
