Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:36 PM Friday May 18, 2018 to a report of a person hit by a vehicle at Elmhurst Road and Rose Lane Wheeling, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a man was down after being hit by a vehicle. Engine 9’s crew on arrival requested a second ambulance by 8:38 p.m.
Southbound Elmhurst Rd was closed between Hintz Road and Stonegate Drive as late as 11:45 p.m. for an extended accident investigation.
