VIDEO: Rollover accident with extrication on East Davis Street, Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:20 p.m. to a rollover crash with entrapment at 1600 East Davis Street. A tan Oldsmobile sedan hit a parked white Dodge Ram and flipped after the collision. The Oldsmobile was eastbound when it hit the pickup truck, which was parked on the eastbound shoulder.
Firefighter/paramedics had the male accident victim extricated from his Oldsmobile, which was upside down on its roof in about 10 minutes. He was treated at the scene in the ambulance for an additional 10 minutes, and then transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
Davis Street was blocked eastbound at Arthur Avenue, and westbound at Northwest Highway for about 45 minutes. Northbound Arthur Avenue was backed up and congested more than usual after the crash.
