ARSON: Arlington Heights Fire Department Extinguishes Fire in a Pioneer Park Pop Machine

Arlington Heights Fire Department quickly knocked down a fire near the concession stand at Pioneer Park just before 5:00 p.m. Thursday. The fire was contained to a pop machine inside a fieldhouse.

The fire is suspicious and witnesses reported the following description of two males who left the scene just before the fire:

Male about 15 to 18 years-old, 5′ 10″ … brown hair with curls at the bottom, brown jeans, black and white Tony Hawk shoes, left on foot.

Male about 18 years old, 5′ 10″ … light brown shirt, also with brown hair, left on a BMX bike.

Possibly no bicycle involved, but rather a skate board.

An arson investigation is underway by the Arlington Heights Police Department.
