Metra Delay: Honda Stalled on Union Pacific Railroad Tracks at Wilke

Arlington Heights police responded about 5:55 PM Tuesday to a report of a car stalled on the train tracks at Wilke Road and the railroad tracks. A blue Honda Civic was reported stalled on the Union Pacific railroad tracks at the Wilke Road intersection with the railroad tracks.

Metra and Union Pacific was immediately notified and trains are stopped in the area.

Hillside Towing was called to expedite to the scene.

Trains were moving again about 6:20 p.m.

6:25 PM Trains #637, 641 and 643 scheduled to arrive Crystal Lake at 6:30pm, Harvard at 6:46pm and McHenry at 6:50pm are operating 20-38 minutes behind schedule due to earlier track obstruction.

5:55 PM Trains #637 and 641 scheduled to arrive Crystal Lake at 6:30pm and Harvard at 6:46pm are stopped near Arlington Park due to track obstruction. We will provide updated travel information as it is available.
