Ford Focus ST video and still shots.

The Ford Focus ST is expected to be introduced in Europe sometime in late 2011, after the release of the new Ford Focus in the earlier part of next year. The Focus ST with Ford’s turbocharged 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine with 250 PS (184 kW / 247 bhp) is expected in the U.S. by early 2012. The video shows the car in a wild “Tangerine Scream” color with a front grill that looks a little like the mouth of Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo. The 240 PS is in the Ford Explorer and Ford Mondeo.

Looks like a cool car.

EcoBoost is a family of turbocharged and direct injected six-cylinder and four-cylinder gasoline engines produced by the Ford Motor Company. Engines equipped with EcoBoost technology are designed to deliver power and torque consistent with larger displacement, naturally aspirated engines while achieving approximately 20% better fuel efficiency and 15% reduced greenhouse emissions than these same engines.

A naturally-aspirated engine is one common type of reciprocating piston internal combustion engine that depends solely on atmospheric pressure to counter the partial vacuum in the induction tract to draw in combustion air. This is in contrast to a forced induction engine, in which a mechanically-driven supercharger, or an exhaust-driven turbocharger is employed to facilitate in increasing the mass of intake air beyond what could be produced by atmospheric pressure alone.
