Buffalo Grove police and firefighters responded about 1:50 AM Sunday to a report of a fire at a Metra train station platform at 2701 Main Street, Buffalo Grove. Police reported smoke coming from the platform at the train station at Main Street and Half Day Road. The smoke was showing east of Main Street and north of Half Day Road.
Firefighters reported that the source of the smoke appeared to be coming from the tracks, not the platform. One fire company was able to manage the scene.
