Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:40 p.m. Sunday of a burglary attempt in a garage of a residence in the 1300 block of West Hintz Road. The homeowner discovered the offender attempting to steal some liquor that was stored in the garage. The offender fled and dropped a Buffalo Grove High School duffel bag. The offender was described as a male/white, about 17-years-old, with dark hair, wearing a yellow polo shirt and khaki shorts. He was last seen walking east on Hintz Road. Arlington Heights police searched the area, but were not able to locate the offender.
