Apple version 1.1.3 iPhone software, upgrading the device a fully customizable home screen that lets users rearrange the order of icons. Users can simply press and hold an icon until they all wiggle and move the desired icon to a different location. For the first time, users can also add icons to the home screen through a Webclips (a bookmark that turns into a home screen icon) feature that adds shortcuts to particular Safari websites.
Users can now send SMS text messages to multiple users at once.
Google Maps can now triangulate the iPhone position using cell towers. A large circle on the Google map approximates the iPhone location. The triangulation does not work of three towers are not acquired, such as locations inside large commercial buildings (like a Best Buy). Maps are available in hybrid view and users can add their own marker pins in addition to preset locations.
