Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:05 p.m. Tuesday of solicitors ignoring a posted “No Solicitors or Peddlers” sign, and soliciting without a tag from the village. The solicitors claimed to be from Illinois Energy and also handed out an Illinois Energy brochure to a residence on Windsor. The offenders were described as two male/white in their 20’s. One was wearing a Chicago Cubs hat with dark hair and a dark blue shirt. The other male had short blond hair and ‘looked like Eminem.’ The solicitors were also located on Windsor and Derbyshire. About five minutes after the solicitor complaint, a residential burglary alarm was activated about two doors south of the residence where the solicitor complaint originated.
Police searched the perimeter of the residence and found no signs of entry. Police made no contact with the solicitors.
