Featured at the July 6 event are recognized artists Gary Swiontek (photographs), Sandra Fink May (painting/mixed media), Judy Edelman (textural painting), Sandie Bacon (painting), and Pamela Olin-Maybloom (steel sculpture and painting).

Beginning at 6:00 p.m., diners will view the artists work, then sit down for a special meal featuring an appetizer, soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. In an intimate dining experience, each artist will rotate tables for each course to let diners learn more about them and their work.

“This intimate atmosphere enables diners to talk with the artists without having to approach them cold,” said Olin-Maybloom, also the owner of Pamela’s Parkside Grill with her husband and executive chef, Howard Maybloom. “It gives them an easy way to converse; conversation is lively. The artists built relationships with people who were interested enough about art to make purchases that evening,”

She added the Pamela’s Parkside Grill is helping to revitalize the artist community that thrived for so long in downtown Arlington Heights.

“We are now the only downtown art gallery as well as the only upscale, non-ethnic restaurant in the town’s bustling downtown restaurant community. Our ‘Gallery Dinners’ give our guests an appreciation both of fine art and fine dining, a glimpse into the artist’s mind,” she said.

Pamela’s Parkside Grill features an eclectic menu of grilled seafood and fine meats as well as several sauced dishes plus flambé desserts. The daily food offerings are complemented by unique artwork by local artists which is available for purchase.
