Scam/Ruse Investigated on East Euclid Avenue

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:15 p.m. Monday of a possible ruse/scam to an elderly woman in the 1300 block of East Euclid Avenue. A male came to the door and said the resident’s roof was in need of repair. Another male was waiting in a van at the street. The man and the woman did go to the backyard at the resident’s house. Unknown before investigation if the second man entered the home while the first man and the resident were in the backyard.

Suspects are described as male/whites — short and stocky.
