Extensive Flooding Stalls Cars, Closes Roads at Rand Road and New Wilke, More

Arlington Heights police received a report of flooding at Rand Road and New Wilke Road with at least three cars stuck in high water Thursday morning. Arlington Heights police closed off the area. Several streets near Roanoke and Wilke are had deep water flooding reported about 5:35 a.m.

At least one car was stuck in high water on Thomas Avenue, just east of Kennicott reported about 5:40 a.m. Southbound Arlington Heights Road was also flooded just north of Hintz Road. Cleveland, just north of Central Road also reported flooded.

Floodin was also reported in the 2000 block of North Wilshire.

A fire alarm panel was also drenched in a commercial building on the north side of town after a roof vent was left open. The fire alarm was malfunctioning.
