UPDATE: Illinois State Police found the vehicle unoccupied in the northbound local lanes of Route 53, north of Algonquin Road.

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday of a stolen pickup truck with cap from the 1600 block of South Princeton. A white pickup truck with a cap was stolen from the street while its driver — an underground cable locator workman — was working in a backyard nearby. The number 8097 was displayed on the back of the truck.

The initials USIC, CLS and/or S-MP are displayed on the side of the truck on the driver and passenger door. The truck also has an orange flashing strobe-type light at the top. USIC are the initials for Unites States Infrastructure Corporation.
