GOOD SAMARITAN FATALLY STABBED
New York City police and firefighter/paramedics responded to report of a stabbing victim at 88 Road and 144th Street in the borough of Jamaica, Queens. Later the police discovered from a security video that the man was lying there over one hour, as several bystanders noticed the man but didn’t call for help. The incident occurred at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010, but rescuers didn’t receive a specific call for victim Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax lying on the ground until about 7:20 a.m. One bystander took a picture of the man, another shook and turned the man, but nobody is shown calling for help at the scene.

The offender is described as 5’6″ with a medium build, wearing a green short-sleeved shirt and a green hat.
