Man with Knife Attempts to Attack Woman at IHOP on Golf Road

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:30 a.m. Sunday that a man attempted to attack a female employee that was leaving work at the IHOP, 31 East Golf Road. Police received a report that a male offender tapped on the car window of an employee’s vehicle as she was in her car leaving work. After the offender tapped on the window, he forced the victim out of her car.

The offender was described as a male/white in his twenties, 5’6″ heavy build, about 210 LBS with a shaved bald head, wearing a white T-shirt with a black design and jeans. The offender displayed a knife, dragged the victim into the plaza area, but fled when she screamed.

Three Cook County Sheriff’s deputies were in the area and on the scene, reporting that the offender jumped the fence behind IHOP and fled southbound.
