Schaumburg police received a report about 9:05 p.m. Monday of an armed robbery in the area of the 100 block of Thistle Court in Schaumburg. A male/black offender displayed a black handgun and fled with the victim’s Apple iPod and cell phone. The offender was described as a male/black 6′ 1″ thin build, wearing a blue hoodie and black jeans. The offender was last seen fleeing westbound on Stirling Lane from Knollwood Drive. The neighborhood is just northeast of Barrington Road and Schaumburg Road.
Schaumburg police were searching the area around 9 to 10 pm.
