Armed Robbery with Hunting Knife of Pizza Delivery Man: Two Male/Black Suspects, 1 Arrested

Arlington Heights police received a report just before 6:00 p.m. Saturday of an armed robbery of a pizza delivery man near the corner of Cedar Glen and Shady Way. Two male/black offenders approached the victim with one displaying a large hunting knife and demanding pizzas.

The offender that displayed the knife was described as a male/black, about 5’3″ 120 pounds, 17 to 22 years-old, wearing a silver hoodie and a blue bandanna over his face, and green camouflage pants

The second offender was described as a male black about 17 years-old, heavy set, 230 to 250 pounds. No clothing description available.

Both offenders fled southbound on foot with pizzas and a red pizza warming bag through backyards.

Arlington Heights police responded within minutes and set up a perimeter surrounding the crime scene. Palatine Police Department’s K-9 Unit assisted Arlington Heights police officers — tracking southbound.

Police were able to track the suspect or suspect’s trail to an apartment nearby. One male was announced in custody at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday.

Billy Ray Cleveland, of the 700 block of E. Golf Road is reported to be the suspect arrested at an apartment on another street nearby. A Cook County judge set bond yesterday at $40,000.
