Arlington Heights Fire Department received a report of strong smell of natural gas in the area of 77 West Seegers Road about 11:50 a.m. Thursday. A Nicor crew was already on the scene and were working on a gas main. Wind is from the north-northwest at about 11 mile per hour. More reports were received about an hour later of a strong smell of natural gas at the Wellington of Arlington, just southeast of the Seegers Road location.
Arlington Heights police and fire personnel are at both scenes. The area affected is just north of Arlington Heights Road and Algonquin Road.
