Arlington Heights police assisted Rolling Meadows police about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday for a foot pursuit of a shoplifter from the Meijer store at Algonquin Road and Golf Road in Rolling Meadows.
The suspect, a white male, in his thirties, bolted across Golf Road and Algonquin Road toward Lowes Home Improvement. Rolling Meadow police reported that the suspect was on the roof of the Lowes store, and requested Arlington Heights police for assistance.
Rolling Meadows police immediately had the suspect in custody outside at the rear of the Lowes store as Arlington Heights police officers arrived.
Rolling Meadows police transported the male suspect in custody to Rolling Meadows Police Department Headquarters.
