Arlington Heights police responded to a report about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday that two males stole two bottles of liquor from the Arlington Liquor & Wine store in the 4200 block of North Arlington Heights Road. Police were able to trace the suspects to an address in the 2400 block of Randall Lane in unincorporated Arlington Heights, just southeast of the Route 53 expressway interchange with Lake Cook Road. The neighborhood is the jurisdiction of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, so Arlington Heights police requested they meet the sheriff’s deputies at a point in the neighborhood before going in for the investigation of the retail theft suspects. Cook County Sheriff’s deputies were coincidentally responding to a domestic dispute in progress at the same address or a nearby address of the suspects.

Arlington Heights police waited for the deputies to clear the domestic dispute and proceeded to identify suspects in the liquor store case at about 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. A male/black juvenile and a male/black adult were arrested from the 2400 block of Randall Lane just before 9:10 p.m. Both suspects were transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
