Prospect Heights Fire Department knocked down a fire in a two-story
townhouse about 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The fire was contained to one
unit at Willow Woods Condominium near Old Willow Road and River Road in Prospect Heights. Fire departments from Arlington Heights, Glenview, Mount Prospect,
Northbrook and Wheeling assisted Prospect Heights with fire equipment
and paramedic ambulances. The fire was under control by 8:50 a.m. and firefighters were clearing light smoke from the building and checking carbon monoxide levels a little after 9:00 a.m.
