A total of 2.5 inches of new snow fell from Monday 11:00 p.m. through Tuesday at 12 noon in Arlington Heights. The new snow that fell overnight Monday to Tuesday was light and fluffy/dry. The snow that fell after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday was wet and good packing snow. Snow cover at 12 noon Tuesday was 2.5 inches. Some sunshine came through clouds and melted snow significantly in some sun-exposed ground areas. Snow cover has melted and settled to just over 2 inches.
