Two Teens Arrested in Buffalo Grove After Attempted Burglary In Progress

Buffalo Grove police received a report about 11:35 a.m. Thursday of an attempted burglary in progress at a house in the 900 block of Belmar Lane. The offenders apparently fled when they were spotted. The offenders were described as a male/white wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans, and a male Asian wearing a blue hoodie. Both offenders fled westbound toward Arlington Heights Road in a black Honda — possibly an Accord. Two Buffalo Grove police units spotted a black Honda at Buffalo Grove and Old Checker Road by 11:40 a.m. The Honda was occupied by two males matching the descriptions at the attempted burglary on Belmar. Both suspects inside the car were arrested and transported to Buffalo Grove Police Headquarters at about noon.
