Barrington Fire Department called for an extra alarm mutual aid for a house fire in the 100 block of North Buckley about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday. The fire was quickly extinguished but some fire departments provided station coverage for Barrington for about two hours. Fire departments from Buffalo Grove, Carpentersville, East Dundee, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Palatine Rural, Wauconda and Wheeling assisted Barrington Fire Department.
