William Cadigan Drops Out of 10th Congressional District GOP Race, Lack of Funding Decision

#ad▼

Republican candidate for the 10th Congressional District seat, William Cadigan has withdrawn from the primary race.

An Arlington Heights native and Winnetka attorney, Cadigan had good political support but decided that financial goals weren’t being reached, and did not foresee an improvement in the financial situation.

The Republican field running for U.S. Senate that remains includes state Rep. Elizabeth Coulson of Glenview; Bob Dold, a Kenilworth business owner; Arie Friedman, a pediatrician from Highland Park; Dick Green, a Winnetka economist; and Paul Hamann, a Lake Forest electrical engineer. The primary for the seat for longtime incumbent Mark Kirk, who is now running for U.S. Senate, is February 2, 2010.
