Libertyville Fire Department requested an extra alarm about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday for mutual aid from area fire departments for a gas leak near the intersection of Route 137 and Route 43 in Abbott Park.
A construction crew struck a gas line during excavation. A building nearby was evacuated for about one hour.
