Spiders Infest Ear Canal, Cause Faint Ear Popping Noise and Earache

A 9-year-old boy who originally complained of a faint popping, Rice Krispies-like noise, visited the doctor after developing an earache, as well.

The boy, from Albany, Oregon [MAP/SAT] was diagnosed with something in his left ear canal by his physician, Dr. David Irvine. However, the foreign objects in the ear were not identified until the left ear was irrigated.

Two spiders about the size of a pencil eraser were flushed out of his ears. One of the spiders was still alive, the other dead.
