LOCAL POLICE ALERT: Attempted Child Abduction Lake Cook Road in Deerfield

Deerfield Police Department put out a local police alert on the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network for an attempted child abduction that occurred at 5:20 p.m. near 770 Lake Cook Road in Deerfield, Illinois.

The suspect is described as a male with dark skin and dark hair with blond highlights. He is also described as having a stocky build, having a pierced left ear, a slight 5 o’clock shadow and a light accent of unknown origin.

The suspect was wearing a white tank top and white shoes.

The suspect was driving a light red, full-size, older model pickup truck with an extended cab.

The suspect was last seen near Deer Lake Road and Lake Cook Road. The intersection is just east of Pfingsten Road and Lake Cook Road intersection and just north of the Interstate 94 spur. The last seen location is also just west of Deerbrook Mall and less than one mile west of the Northbrook Court Shopping Center.
