Protesters, led by Rev. Gregory Livington, plan to march along Interstate 190 near O’Hare International Airport on Labor Day to shut down the Interstate 190 with their goal of spreading a message to curb Chicago violence.

The I-190 protest is scheduled to begin about 11:30 a.m. Labor Day Monday September 3, 2018 at Cumberland Avenue east of O’Hare International Airport.

At noon, the group plans to march down the ramp and head along the expressway to River Road, where they plant to attempt to cross the median and attempt to block both sides of the expressway and main thoroughfare into and out of O’Hare International Airport. The distance from Cumberland Avenue to River Road is about 1.3 mile.

The Rev. Gregory Livingston also led a small group of protesters that shut down rush-hour traffic August 2, 2018 on Lake Shore Drive.
Livingston says believes he can accomplish blockage with only 100 people.
