Arlington Heights Resident Killed in Boat Explosion Was President of Franklin Park Company

The Daily Herald’s Eric Peterson reported on the life of Mitchell Z. Sroka, interviewing Sroka’s daughter after he was killed in a boat explosion about 8:00 a.m. Saturday August 11, 2018 in Wilmette Harbor. Sroka was the president of P.R. Streich & Sons in Franklin Park — a company that installs Gasoline Pumps, Hydraulic Vehicle Lifts, Air Compressors, Underground Tanks, and High Pressure Greasing Equipment. Investigators have initially determined that the boat explosion was not connected to re-fueling.
